On Adversity

Borepatch muses over some differences between how leaders and passengers reacted to two different accidents: the recent Costa Concordia disaster, and how they reacted to the ditching of US Air flight 1549 in the Hudson River.

While it's not really his ultimate conclusion, this is probably the best line of the piece:
This is the point where I have to tell every Progressive who ever told us that "we need to be more like Europe" to shut up and sit down in the back of the room.  Grown ups are talking.
